Building safe and respectful workplaces.

Independent Reviews

Intersection is a boutique consulting firm with deep expertise in transforming organisational culture to ensure safety and respect in the workplace.

Conduct of an independent review demonstrates leadership and recognises that you can’t change what you don’t know. With significant under-reporting of inappropriate behaviours a known feature of workplaces, a review is an examination of the systemic issues and barriers preventing safe and respectful workplaces.

Our workplace reviews seek to understand the drivers and risks of inappropriate workplace behaviours and develop practical evidenced-based solutions to both prevent, and better respond to, incidents of sexual harassment, bullying, discrimination and other inappropriate behaviours.

We take a strengths-based and consultative approach to reviews, targeting the specific methodology applied to each individual organisation. Our practice is trauma-informed, prioritising the well-being of workplace participants at all times.

The team at Intersection are able to quickly and deeply understand your unique organisational context and culture, and through our review process, assist your organisation to be the thriving and safe environment that attracts and retains the best talent.

Responding to disclosures of sexual harassment, bullying and discrimination effectively and sensitively is critical to developing and maintaining trust in reporting systems. Ensuring accountability for inappropriate behaviour is also a key prevention mechanism. Intersection can provide advice on and assess the policy and procedures underpinning your reporting mechanisms to ensure they reflect trauma-informed, victim-centred leading practice.

Bullying, harassment and discrimination training reviews

Where workplaces have developed training materials and programs in order to prevent sexual harassment and other inappropriate workplace behaviours, Intersection is able to assess these against current leading practice and provide advice on enhancements or modifications to ensure that your training programs are effective as they can be.

Maintaining a healthy and safe workplace culture requires constant vigilance. The majority of workplaces undertake numerous activities to nurture a positive workplace culture.

Recognising that not all organisations will require an in-depth review, Intersection can conduct a cultural health check to understand the impact of initiatives undertaken in your workplace and identify any areas for future focus and work.
