Independent cultural review of Western Power

Western Power has engaged Intersection to conduct an independent review of its workplace culture.

Led by Natasha de Silva and Kate Jenkins AO, the Review will examine the prevalence of inappropriate workplace behaviours, identify drivers and risk factors and assess Western Power’s policies, procedures and practices relating to workplace conduct. It will make recommendations aimed at preventing inappropriate workplace behaviours and strengthening a culture of safety, respect and inclusion.

The Review is expected to run for approximately six months, with its findings to be released publicly in early 2027. It is independent of, and separate from other reviews, investigations or processes currently being conducted or commissioned by Western Power.

The Review will not investigate or make determinations on individual incidents or complaints. Instead, it will take a broad and holistic view of the workforce culture and experiences across Western Power.

Participation is voluntary. Any information shared with the Intersection team will be treated confidentially and used in a de-identified manner.

There will be several ways for current and former Western Power employees and contractors to participate in the Review including through a survey, focus groups, submissions and individual interviews. Please see the Participant Information Sheet below for further details about the Review including how to participate, or download a copy of the Sheet by clicking here.

For any questions about the Review, you can contact the Intersection team at WesternPowerconfidential@intersection.work.

In addition to the Review, Intersection will independently investigate complaints of inappropriate workplace behaviour, with disclosures managed in line with trauma-informed practice.
