Independent reviews
We conduct reviews of culture, safeguarding and governance. Reviews are child-safe, independent, confidential and evidence-based, drawing on interviews, submissions and document review to assess how culture and governance operate in practice. We treat participant material with care for confidentiality, and we develop findings and recommendations a board can implement, track and evidence.
Governance advisory
Board reporting design, risk and assurance mapping, committee structures and policy architecture. We work with the structures your board already has and build safety governance into them, to ensure oversight is embedded into regular board functions.
Board and leadership education
Masterclasses, eLearning and board reporting packs designed for use by Directors and school leaders. Each learning product is mapped to AICD core Director capabilities.
Governing for culture
Boards that proactively govern for safety and culture seek evidence of daily practice: whether staff feel safe to raise a concern, whether complaints lead to change, and whether the behaviour the policies describe is the lived experience of staff and students at the school. The improvement opportunity in most schools is visibility: ensuring directors have access to the right information.
Governing for culture gives boards that visibility. It recognises culture as a governance responsibility and it monitors the leading indicators that precede harm: student and staff voice, confidence to report, complaint patterns and response times, supervision coverage, and training capability. Lagging measures such as incidents and claims also provide valuable data – but only after harm has occurred. A board that knows the questions to ask of the executive, and receives data built to answer those questions, has the ability to see early warning signs.

Child Safe Self-Assessment
The free Pulse Check is a short structured self-assessment against the Child Safe Standards and the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations. It generates a one-page summary formatted for a board or council paper. The full Child Safe Self-Assessment Tool extends provides a maturity rating and a gap assessment for every standard, with specific notes taking into account the requirements in your jurisdiction.

Safety@School Masterclass
A two-hour facilitated masterclass for your board, delivered in person or by videoconference by Maria Twomey and Natasha de Silva. The session works with your Board’s own structures: its committee architecture, its reporting cadence and its assurance map. Directors receive an attendance record, a certificate and an evidence pack, and can self-log 5 CPD points. Term 3 and early Term 4 dates are open.

The suite is built for boards, councillors and executive leadership teams. The eLearning assumes no prior governance training. Staff-facing child safety training is a different product, please contact us directly if you require staff training in child safety.

Directors can self-log 5 AICD CPD points for the eLearning module and 5 CPD points for the Masterclass under the AICD third-party provider allowance. Certificates of completion are provided.

Yes. The packs can be licensed to the purchasing school or system, and multi-school licensing is quoted upon request. The eLearning is priced per user, with whole-board and whole-system licences available. The templates are editable .docx files, so each school carries its own name, structures and jurisdiction insert.
