About the course

This 30 minute eLearning course is designed to enhance Directors’ understanding of their obligations to prevent and respond to sexual harassment in the workplace.

The course covers organisations’ legal obligations under the Fair Work Act, workplace health and safety legislation, and the Sex Discrimination Act, with a focus on understanding the new positive duty to eliminate sex discrimination, sexual harassment and other associated behaviours.

This course is aligned with element 3.1.3 ‘Culture’ of the AICD Corporate Governance Framework, and is valued at 5 DPD Units.

What you’ll learn

After completing this course you will have:

  • an increased understanding of the legal frameworks that apply to workplace sexual harassment

  • a detailed understanding of the positive duty to eliminate sex discrimination and sexual harassment

  • an understanding of the obligations on board directors to comply with the positive duty

  • practical tools and strategies for managing workplace sexual harassment as a non-financial risk.
